Vitamin B-6 (Pyridoxine)

Vitamin B-6, also known as Pyridoxine, is one of a group of 8 water-soluble B-vitamins. B-6 is related to numerous functions in the body, such as neurotransmitter support and homocysteine regulation, but it is mostly involved in protein metabolism.

B-6 is not produced internally, so it must be supplied through diet and/or supplements regularly. B-6 is best taken alongside magnesium, as one of the roles of B-6 is transporting magnesium to the cells that need it. It is also beneficial to combine B-6 with other B-vitamins (especially B-1, B-2, B-3, and B-5), as they play codependent roles in energy production.
